Accel7 is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on entrepreneur and economic growth in the Greater Hudson Valley region of New York State.

We have offices in White Plains, NY, and Rhinebeck, NY, in partnership with local coworking spaces.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS


Service Partner

Accel7 Service Partners operate and embed with our startup companies on 1-2 month projects aligned with Accel7's modules. Accel7 leadership works closely with you to introduce your team to our startup companies, and helps align the needs and requirements of our founders' goals and milestones with your capabilities and methods of operation.

At Accel7, we do not just train startup founders and teams on how to operate. At Accel7, we operate side-by-side with startup founders and teams, focusing on executing on tasks and deliverables. As a Service Partner, you provide our startup companies with industry-leading knowledge, and leverage your operational experience and expertise to co-lead a hands-on project with specified deliverables, on time and within budget.

Accel7 companies focus on building solutions in the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) space. Your work will contribute to the betterment of families, communities and businesses living and operating in the new economy.

Accel7 works with Service Partners in one of two main ways:

01 Service Partners commit to a one-month project in alignment with their expertise and focused on one of Accel7's program modules, which include Customer, Product, Traction and Money. The one-month project includes a one-time 1:30 hour session on a specific topic of expertise to educate and advise startup companies on launch and growth, aligned with learning outcomes. Secondly, the one-month project includes three weeks (or more, in specific cases) of embedded operations side-by-side with each startup company, aligned with deliverables.

02 Service Providers host a series of strategy sessions on their subject matter expertise over the course of 2-3 months, meeting with startup founders (and teammates, if accompanied) to develop and implement strategies and best practices for growth. Service Providers lead sessions in alignment with Accel7 learning objectives and operational goals, in support of startup acceleration.

Accel7 is looking for Service Providers in the following areas of focus: Health & Body Training; Leadership Mindset; Stress & Pain Management; Customer Development; Brand Design; Brand Development; Product Design; Product Development; Go-To-Market Strategy; Marketing Campaigns; Customer Acquisition; Business Development & Sales; Partnerships.

Leads with clear and consistent communications as a partner and influencer on special projects.

Past performance implementing best practices and growth methods while leading special projects in industry.

Compensation
Accel7 pays Service Providers for one-month and multi-month engagements, defining a budget per one startup company and applying this budget to the number of companies the Service Provider works with over the course of the cohort program. Accel7 does request small sponsorship participation from Service Providers, in alignment with operational and promotional initiatives throughout Service Provider engagement(s).

Mentor

As a Mentor, you will educate and advise Accel7 startup companies as they seek to bootstrap, build, launch and/or grow in the market. You will leverage your business and leadership experience and subject matter expertise to help create, develop and implement strategies and best practices in coordination with startup founders and teammates.

Accel7 companies focus on building solutions in the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) space. Your work will contribute to the betterment of families, communities and businesses living and operating in the new economy.

Accel7 works with Mentors in one of two main ways:

01 Mentors host a 1:30 hour session on a specific topic of expertise to educate and advise startup companies on launch and growth;

02 Mentors host 3-hour office sessions, meeting with startup founders (and teammates, if accompanied) to discuss strategies and best practices in a specific area of expertise.

Compensation
Accel7 does not pay Mentors for engagements, and does not request sponsorship participation from Mentors. Accel7 provides operational and promotional support throughout Mentor engagement(s).

Business Analyst Intern

The Business Analyst Intern will work closely with Accel7 leadership to research and assess emerging startup companies in the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) space.

You will work with existing databases and research methods developed by investors and other venture partners in the region, and provide briefings on company developments and challenges on a weekly basis.

You will participate in internal strategy sessions, as well as attend cohort and training workshops with Accel7 portfolio startups. Also, you will be able to attend entrepreneurship events as part of your responsibilities, and collaborate with teammates on ideas.

Creative Design Intern

The Media Specialist Intern will collaborate with Accel7 teams to contribute to communication strategies and projects focused on early startup and entrepreneurship initiatives.

Your work will focus heavily in the following areas: Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG), Impact Investing, Student Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development, amongst related spaces.

You will co-lead and co-own communication strategies that play to your strengths, including but not limited to content generation, content editing, and content placement. You will focus on channels and avenues, including social media and blogs, in support of the Accel7 mission and strategic growth priorities.

Partnerships Director

The Partnerships Director will lead engagement strategy and execution with prospective Accel7 partners across public, private and nonprofit sectors.

You will work closely with the Accel7 leadership team to create, plan, organize and deliver engagement services to attract, develop and launch partnership programs in alignment with Accel's initiatives. Also, your work will provide Accel7 partners with resources to grow community contribution through startup and corporate innovation projects.

You will develop practices to source and engage prospective partners, and manage a pipeline of opportunities in support of Accel7's goals and milestones. Your focus will ensure that startups receive the support they need to launch, grow and scale with Accel7 and partners.

You will create, author and manage proposals for partner and special projects in coordination with Accel7 leadership, including LOIs, RFPs, whitepapers, blog posts and other documents and collateral in support of partnership initiatives. Your expertise will procure contracts and relationships to grow the startup ecosystem in the region.

You will represent Accel7's mission and team at business, community and other events in support of partnership exploration and projects. Your work will build your network and the Accel7 network throughout the Greater Hudson Valley and beyond as Accel7 scales regionally and nationally.

Business Developer

The Business Developer will work with Accel7 startups to source and pipeline new opportunities.

You are familiar and experienced with lead generation, client/partner qualification, and closing methodologies and practices. In coordination with our startup founders and teams, you will be comfortable with the ambiguity and struggles of defining a new business model, but be confident in deploying strategies to test and iterate pipeline development.

You will be eager to work across mission sets, while maintaining and advancing your expertise as a business development professional. For example, one day you will launch a curated email campaign with a founder, the next day you will secure an in-person meeting with prospective client or partner for another founder, and the next day you will advise another founder on their Customer Relationship Management system or database.

You are passionate about helping establish best practices and strategies for startups focused on solutions related to the following areas: Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG), Impact Investing, Student Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development, amongst related spaces.

Software Engineer Intern

The Software Engineer Intern will be assigned to and work with an Accel7 startup company to assist with product development and product management projects.

Every Accel7 startup company focuses on developing solutions in the following areas: Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG), Impact Investing, Student Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development, amongst related spaces.

You will utilize your engineering and development talents and skills to coordinate with the startup founder, product lead and/or other teammates in support of product enhancement. You will build, test and experiment with data, wireframes and other elements of a new startup technology product, including web and/or mobile solutions.
